These General Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all purchases and the use of the online boutique provided by HAUS.JACOB GmbH via https://hausjacob.com.

These Terms apply to all contracts concluded between HAUS.JACOB GmbH and consumers or entrepreneurs (jointly referred to as “Customers”) via the online store.
A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that predominantly are outside their trade, business, or profession (§ 13 BGB).
An entrepreneur is a natural or legal person or partnership with legal personality acting in exercise of their trade, business, or profession (§ 14 BGB).
Product presentations in the online store do not constitute legally binding offers but an invitation to submit an order.
By clicking the “Buy now” button during checkout, you submit a binding offer to purchase the items in your cart.
The contract is concluded when you receive an order confirmation by email or when the goods are dispatched.
All pieces are individually curated design objects.
Minor variations, surface characteristics, material nuances or signs of previous use are inherent to the object and do not constitute defects.
Product images may vary slightly depending on display settings.
All prices are stated in euros (€) and include applicable statutory VAT.
Shipping costs are displayed separately during checkout.
Payments are processed via Shopify Payments and its integrated payment service providers.

We reserve the right to exclude certain payment methods for individual orders.
The purchase price is due immediately upon conclusion of the contract.
We ship worldwide from Munich, Germany.
Shipping within the European Union is included in the purchase price.
For deliveries outside the EU, shipping costs are calculated automatically during checkout based on volumetric weight and destination.
All shipments are fully insured up to the full invoice amount.
Estimated transit times (after dispatch):
• Germany: 2–4 business days
• EU: 4–7 business days
• International: 7–14 business days
Oversized or heavy pieces may be shipped via freight or a specialized art courier. Standard delivery is curbside unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Import duties, taxes, and customs fees for deliveries outside the European Union are the sole responsibility of the Customer.
Once dispatched, you will receive tracking information via email.
The goods remain our property until full payment has been received.
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you or a third party indicated by you acquire physical possession of the goods.

Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw, we will reimburse all payments received, including standard delivery costs, within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notice.
Reimbursement will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless otherwise agreed.
We may withhold reimbursement until the goods are returned or proof of return is provided.
You must return the goods within 14 days.
You bear the direct cost of return shipping.
You are liable for diminished value only if handling exceeds what is necessary to examine the nature and functionality of the goods.
Statutory warranty rights apply.
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence.
For simple negligence, liability is limited to essential contractual obligations and foreseeable damages typical for the contract.
Liability under product liability law remains unaffected.
All lighting objects are professionally inspected prior to dispatch.
Installation must comply with local electrical regulations. We recommend installation by a qualified electrician.
All content on this website, including text, images, graphics, logos, and product designs, is protected by intellectual property rights. Any use without prior written consent is prohibited.
The EU Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (ODR) at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
These Terms are governed by German law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence remain unaffected.
The version valid at the time of the order shall apply. We reserve the right to update these Terms where necessary.
