Design is not just what we see —
it’s what we feel.

Carolin — Founder & Designer behind HAUS.JACOB

Laughing CEO Carolin Moehring in beige blazer and silver metallic trousers sits cross-legged on vintage leather chair in bright studio.

Design isn’t just what we see — it’s what we feel.
And feeling, for me, begins with presence.

I never aimed to decorate.
I set out to define.

With an eye for timeless aesthetics, an instinct for reinvention, and a love for objects with a past,
I craft lighting that holds space — emotionally, sculpturally, unapologetically.

Since 2020, HAUS.JACOB has been my way of turning memory into form, and form into atmosphere.
Not to follow trends — but to leave a trace.

I'm Carolin. I create lighting with attitude.

For me, light isn’t a utility — it’s a presence.
A memory. A shift in atmosphere.

I work like an editor: cutting, layering, rebuilding until something forgotten becomes undeniable again.

Every HAUS.JACOB piece carries tension.
Between now and then. Between purpose and poetry.
Between the story it once held — and the one it’s about to tell.

It’s not a light. It’s a pause. A whisper. A turning point. A trace.

I work intuitively.
Always starting with a feeling, a silhouette, a fragment of light remembered.

I don't sketch. I sense. I hold. I rebuild.
Every piece begins with hands, silence, and time.

The studio is not a showroom. It’s a space of stillness, fragments, decisions.
No playlist. No plan. Just light, tools, and time.

All lights are individually composed. Selected pieces available.
Others – yet to be made.

You feel it? That’s enough.
